Dr. Khalil Saghezchi, DDS, AAACD

Dr. Khalil Saghezchi (“Dr. Sage”) has been practicing Cosmetic and General Dentistry for over 27 years in Santa Clara County. He has used his advanced skills in Cosmetic Dentistry to create beautiful smiles for thousands of his patients. He graduated with honors from the University of Pacific School of Dentistry, San Francisco in 1988. Shortly after graduation, he opened his own general dentistry practice in Santa Clara, and then in 2002 opened his cosmetic practice, Cupertino Dental and Facial Esthetics, in Cupertino, CA. Dr. Saghezchi is also an active member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the Santa Clara Dental Society. In 1992, Dr. Saghezchi enrolled as a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). Five years later in 1997, he became one of the few accredited members of the academy worldwide as a result of his dedication and excellence in Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Saghezchi practices all phases of general and cosmetic dentistry, including porcelain veneers. He has published numerous articles in the Journal of American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry ranging in subjects from porcelain veneers to dental implants. He was also a part-time faculty member at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry – educating dental students in the latest advancements in Cosmetic Dentistry.
Dr. Saghezchi has lectured at international seminars teaching overseas dentists about Cosmetic Dentistry. He was also the co-founder of the AACD for the Northern California local chapter.
His sons have both followed in his footsteps, one attending medical/dental school to practice oral surgery, and the other taking over the family business by joining him at Cupertino Dental and Facial Esthetics office.

Dr. Sohail Saghezchi is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He received his D.D.S. degree from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in 2002, and was honored with the Dean’s Award for graduating salutatorian of his class. He subsequently went into private practice as a general dentist with his father for eight years. Although he enjoyed practicing General Dentistry, his professional goal and true passion was always surgery. In 2010, he gave up his practice and returned to formal education to begin a one-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery internship at UCSF. The following year he began the 6-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program at UCSF. He received his Medical Degree from UCSF School of Medicine in 2015. He completed a one-year General Surgery internship at UCSF in 2016 and graduated from the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program in 2017. Following graduation, Dr. Saghezchi stayed on at UCSF as a full time clinical faculty member. Dr. Saghezchi practices full scope Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery including dental extractions, sedation and anesthesia, dental implant surgery including zygomatic implants and bone grafting, orthognathic and sleep apnea surgery, maxillofacial trauma, benign pathology and reconstruction, TMJ surgery, and nerve injury with microvascular nerve repair. He’s truly passionate about helping others and cares greatly about his patients and the service he provides for them. In addition to his clinical practice and teaching responsibilities, Dr. Saghezchi enjoys traveling and spending as much time as he can with his wife and two young daughters.
